Cold Feet is getting the gang back together again as TV bosses have revealed when series nine will hit our screens.
Earlier this year, ITV confirmed that the Big Talk series would be returning in 2020 and we may have had to wait six months but a date has finally been set.
And if that’s not enough to please all Cold Feet fans, they can also expect a few guest roles thrown in for good measure.
Ackley Bridge and former Casualty star Sunetra Sarker, The Trip’s Claire Keelan and Bridget Jones star Gemma Jones (aka Bridget’s mum Pam) will all feature in the new episodes.
Season 9 will also see the return of Adam (James Nesbitt) and Karen (Hermione Norris) juggling their new relationship alongside the challenges posed by the new blended family they’ve created.
Series eight saw shock for Jenny (Fay Ripley) who was diagnosed with breast cancer.
As a result, the new has a ripple effect throughout the group as they all take into account what this might mean to them, and how they can be there for their friend.
The actress revealed at the time that she wanted the team working on the show to make sure the storyline was as accurate as possible in the hope of helping others in a similar situation.

She explained: ‘They asked me how I’d feel about it and I said I wanted it dealt with properly because of the weight of that responsibility, and because so many people I know are affected by breast cancer and cancer in general. That’s life at the moment.’
‘We have seen this story with shows but I wanted it to be real,’ she added. ‘Sometimes it’s going to be funny, sometimes it’s going to be scary. I just wanted it to be honest.’
Series 9 of Cold Feet airs on Monday 13 January at 9pm.
