It looks like 2020 might just be Gemma Collins’ year – as she sets her sights on becoming the next big female popstar.
Watch out Beyonce and Ariana Grande – the GC is coming.
The former Towie star has revealed that she is set on launching her music career in the summer of 2020, after having to delay a planned winter release.
And she claims she already has an ‘amazing’ song lined up, after working with producer Naughty Boy.
Speaking to The Sun’s Bizarre column, she said: ‘I had to put my music on hold because this year ended up being so busy.
‘I was working with Naughty Boy and we were looking to get out a Christmas song but our schedules didn’t line up and we couldn’t make it happen.’
She continued: ‘We’ve got an amazing song in the bag and it can come out at any time, so we are looking at next summer. It’s written and all finished, which is really exciting.’
Gemma also revealed that she’s been having singing lessons and has been practicing in the car and on the phone.
It comes after the 38-year-old previously landed herself a record deal with Universal Music Group earlier in the year.
The star is no stranger to belting out a tune – she previously impressed fans last year when she performed her own take on Shirley Bassey’s Hey Big Spender on the BBC series All Together Now.
Gemma also recently compared herself to the King Of Pop himself, Michael Jackson – as she claimed that her agent had to shut down shopping centres so she could buy her Christmas presents.
‘I can’t go shopping like I did before I was famous. It has to be planned now. I can’t walk around a shopping centre,’ she lamented.
‘I believe it would be considered a safety risk. It would be death by kisses and hugs. People all want to hug me. They want to touch The GC!’
