The legendary Liverpool centre-half thinks the Gunners could ‘cash in’ on their star man, should a sizeable offer come their way for the Gabon international.
While Carragher recognises he is ‘one of the top strikers in the Premier League’ – with Aubameyang scoring 14 goals in 21 starts for his club this season – he believes Arsenal are in a dangerous position where they could risk losing him for free.
And he suggested it may be wise to let him move on in January, with Alexandre Lacazette a ready-made replacement to lead the line for Arsenal.
‘You look at up front and the age of Aubameyang, he’s got a year to go,’ Carragher told Sky Sports.
‘I wouldn’t be surprised if they cashed in on Aubameyang if somebody offered them big money
