A pair of newlyweds have received an outpouring of love after sharing their story about facing terminal cancer, with Tom Walker performing at their wedding.
The sweet couple got married in a fairytale wedding after facing a difficult year, which saw the bride, Lauren, being diagnosed with cervical cancer, before it spread.
Marrying her beau, José, at Peckforton Castle in Cheshire earlier this year, viewers have been loving seeing the sweet couple enjoy their big day,
And to make it even better, Just You And I singer Tom, who is a friend of the couple and was a guest at the wedding, performed for them.
A video of the sweet couple, shared by BBC Radio 5 Live, has attracted more than a million views and thousands of comments, with viewers sharing the love for the pair.
‘I wanted to ask Lauren to marry me because I wanted to show her just how much I do love her and we’re there for each other through thick and thin,’ José said in the video.
Lauren added that she hopes her experience will inspire women to go to their smear tests, saying: ‘There are so many girls out there that are just terrified of even having the smear. Don’t be, get your smears girls.’
Reacting to the outpouring of love, the pair told BBC Radio 5 Live: ‘We are overwhelmed by the response the film has received.
‘We’ve had so many comments and messages from people all over the world who have said that our story has captured their hearts. Women have also been in touch to say they’re booking their smears as soon as possible.

‘We want to ensure people go and get screened, and really push for an answer if they feel something is wrong, and we feel the video really captures that message.
‘Hopefully our story will continue to touch people’s hearts and people can learn a valuable message from our experience.’
