Paddy McGuinness has deleted his post in which he publicly mocked his good friend Peter Kay.
The Top Gear presenter reached out after the comedian had published a statement distancing himself from Channel 5’s documentary Peter Kay: In His Own Words, claiming that he was not involved with the film at all.
Responding to the post, Paddy joked: ‘Never mind that. When did you start speaking in the third person?’
After publishing the tweet, a number of fans replied to ask when Max And Paddy’s Road To Nowhere would be returning to the small screen – but the message has since disappeared from Paddy’s profile altogether.
Last night, Peter’s official Twitter account said that Channel 5’s film had an ‘incredibly misleading title’ as it did not include any new interviews from the Car Share star.
‘Very flattering of Channel 5 to commission the programme going out tonight but just to let people know that “Peter Kay: In His Own Words” has an incredibly misleading title, as it doesn’t feature any new interviews with Peter and all the footage is completely historic,’ the statement read.
It continued: ‘The title also gives the impression that Peter has been involved in the making of this documentary which he hasn’t. At all.’
The 48-year-old funnyman posed for a picture as he attended Nativity! The Musical in London to watch the show’s final performance and flashed a grin for the camera as he stood next to creatives.

Peter has been taking a break from the spotlight over the past 24 months after cancelling his tour at the end of 2017 over ‘unforeseen family circumstances’.
He confirmed the news on his website, apologising to those who had purchased tickets and insisted it wasn’t a decision he had taken lightly.
