Penn Badgley has mistakenly confirmed that Netflix drama You will be returning for season three.
The 33-year-old actor, who plays serial killer Joe Goldberg in the binge-worthy show, accidentally revealed that we’ll be seeing more of the narcissistic murderer in the future – despite it only just returning on Boxing Day.
As he talked about the unmasking of another killer in season two, Penn got a little carried away and let loose about her role in the next chapter.
‘She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of person,’ Penn admitted. ‘She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of predator.
‘She doesn’t appear to be the same kind of… you know, dare I say, in the third season – oh, god!’
When pressed about the third season, Penn told Entertainment Tonight: ‘I literally know nothing about the third season.
‘Technically I can’t… I mean, like, unofficially?’
Well, thank goodness, because we’ve got a lot of questions following the last chapter.

While Netflix has yet to officially confirm the third inning, we’re certainly holding out hope (especially given *that* ending).
Showrunner Sera Gamble said she ‘absolutely’ had plans for the show to continue though.
She told Cosmopolitan UK: ‘I will say that we have an idea for season three that is SO exciting that people talk about it in the [writer’s] room every day.
‘So my fingers are crossed… I’ll just say, I hope we get the chance to keep making the show.’
We’re gonna keep everything crossed while we wait for official confirmation from the big dogs.
You is available to stream on Netflix.
