Anne Hathaway has announced she’s expecting her second child with husband Adam Shulman. The actress, 36, broke the news on social media where she also opened up about their fertility struggles. In an Instagram post she joked that it wasn’t for a new movie role, and said: ‘All kidding aside, for everyone going through infertility and conception hell, please know it was not a straight line to either of my pregnancies. Sending you extra love.’ Here’s what you need to know about her husband Adam Shulman. Who is Adam Shulman? Adam, 38, is an actor and film producer from New York. He’s appeared in shows such as American Dreams and The West Wing, and produced the 2015 romantic film Song One and comedy The Shower along with Anne.
Adam is also a jewellery designer and co-owns his own brand James Banks Design – and he even reportedly helped design Anne’s wedding ring. The actors began their relationship after meeting at the Palm Springs Festival in 2008. Despite hitting it off – and Anne telling friends she was going to marry Adam – the pair each thought the other had a significant other. It wasn’t until six weeks later that they had their first date, and got married in romantic ceremony in California in 2012. Anne had vowed to stay single following a dramatic break-up from Italian property developer Raffaello Follieri after which he was jailed for fraud. However Adam changed all of that, with her admitting: ‘Adam totally ruined my plan. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time and then I fell in love like a fool.’
